Job Summary
Front Desk Officer serve as the first point of contact for clients, guests, and customers of Meristem. You are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining an organized and secure reception area, and ensuring the smooth operations of the company from the front desk.
Job Details
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate Business Units or individuals
- Providing information and answering questions about the company’s products or services
- Answering and forwarding phone calls
- Handling basic inquiries and requests from clients and customers
- Maintaining an organized reception area
- Scheduling appointments and meetings
- Handling and sorting incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Maintaining records and files, ensuring that they are updated and easily accessible
- Performing basic bookkeeping and clerical tasks
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the reception area
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
